01Controller

The controller for data processing on this website is ampunkt.technology GmbH, Softwarepark 32, 4232 Hagenberg im Mühlkreis, Austria, represented by its managing director Dr. Andreas Stöckl. Contact: andreas@stoeckl.ai.

02Principles

We process personal data only as far as this is necessary to run this website, to provide the downloads, to answer your enquiries or to meet legal obligations, or where you have given your consent – on the basis of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Austrian Data Protection Act (DSG). This website uses no cookies, no tracking and no analytics tools.

03Hosting and server log files

The website is hosted by Netlify, Inc., 101 2nd Street, San Francisco, CA 94105, USA. When pages are called up, Netlify processes technically necessary data such as IP address, date and time, the address requested, referrer and browser identification in order to deliver the website and keep it secure. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in secure and stable operation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The transfer to the USA is based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

04Registration before downloading

Before your first download we ask for your name, your email address and, optionally, your company or organisation. We process these details to provide the download, to learn who uses Chromatelier and to contact you about Chromatelier; if you also tick the box, we inform you about new versions by email. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time with effect for the future, for example by email to andreas@stoeckl.ai.

The details are submitted through the form service of our host Netlify and stored there until you withdraw your consent or we no longer need them; we do not pass them on to third parties. So that you are not asked again with every download, your browser remembers locally (in its storage, not a cookie) that you have registered; you can delete this entry at any time in your browser settings.

05Downloads from GitHub

The program files are delivered by GitHub (GitHub, Inc., 88 Colin P. Kelly Jr. Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). When you download, GitHub processes technically necessary data such as your IP address to transfer the file. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in reliably providing the software (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR); the transfer to the USA is based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

06Fonts and videos

The fonts and the explainer videos on this website are served from our own web server. There is no connection to Google, video platforms or other providers.

07The Chromatelier software

Chromatelier processes your pictures on your own computer. Local AI models are downloaded once from Hugging Face at your request. For videos, the software downloads the OpenH264 video codec once directly from Cisco (ciscobinary.openh264.org) at your request; Cisco then processes technically necessary data such as your IP address. Lens profiles are downloaded from GitHub (Lensfun) at your request. Only when you yourself start a cloud feature (such as Generative Fill, colorizing or Match Font) and have entered your own API key for it is the picture concerned sent directly to OpenAI; we do not receive this data. The software sends no usage data to us.

08Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. You can withdraw any consent given at any time with effect for the future. Please contact andreas@stoeckl.ai. If you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection law, you can lodge a complaint with the Austrian Data Protection Authority, Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna, www.dsb.gv.at.
